Store-MVC-Event model: API or brief explanation

Hi, is there a document that explains how the store - model api is intended to be used?
I am trying to use GXT for a project but I am constantly trying to understand the picture of things (the whole store binding mechanism is a bit blur, so is the model view controller paradigm and so is the event model). I think it would be good to have documentation on these issues.

If there isn't documentation could you post a brief explanation of how these things should be used?

check out the mail application sample in the download - it uses MVC stuff
