Default Grid behavior for Combo box

    Grid behavior for Combo box

    Hi,

I have observed this in all the editable grids, if we have a combo box / Text box, untill the user clicks on the cell he does not come to know that its a combo box / text box. This behavior needs two clicks for each cell rather than one.

Can we make the combo box / text box to be visible to the user without a need to clicking the cell? This is very urgent, can anyone please help?

    Thanks,
    Poonam

    Hi,

The URL that you pasted, is the same editable grid. I have to click on the cell to find out that its a combo box, its editable. How can I make the editable cell visible without clicking on it.

you mentioned 2 clicks, so i pointed you to the example.
the editor in the example is displayed after 1 click.

if you're implying displaying a combo for every cell in a grid column without having to click at all i.e. the cells are always in edit mode, then no.

Thanks for the reply, so its not possible to visually display combo boxes in editable grid, unless user clicks on the cell.

    Poonam.

it is certainly possible for you to add, but is not provided by Ext in its current state.
and its not just a matter of adding some custom CSS...
