    Default Simple Question

    Simple Question

    Hi,
    I have got ist simple question. How I can get the url of the iframe, not the DefaultSrc.

    Code:
    new Ext.ux.ManagedIframePanel({
        defaultSrc:"http://www.google.de",
        id:"http://www.google.de",
        height:700,
        listeners:{
            documentloaded:function(a){
               Ext.Msg.alert("Information","You move to Site: "+a.getSrc());
        }}
      })]
    a.getSrc always shows "http://www.google.de". But I want wo see where I am, not where I started.

    I hope someone can help me, and sorry for my bad english.
    Nice greetings from germany.

    Default Handle iframe breakers?

    Handle iframe breakers?

    I am suprised not to see someone asking this question, but is there anything in MIF that can aide in at least detecting when a site includes an iframe breaker?

    Exclamation Nope

    Nope

    Afraid not. Documents served up from foreign domains are 'off-limits' for that sort of scrutiny.

    The best you could do, is possibly fudge with the window.top props (if the page even uses that do determine whether to bust-out or not).

    Welcome to the crap-shoot.

    Ext 2.2
    Config like this
    HTML Code:
           this.gadgets = new Ext.Panel({
                renderTo: 'gadgets',
                animate: true,
                width: 300,
                height: 500,
                layout:'accordion',
                items: [
                    new Panel({
                        html: '2323'
                    }),{
                        id: 'gtalk',
                        title: 'Google Talk',
                        xtype: 'iframepanel',
                        frameConfig : {autoCreate:{id:'gtalkFrame'}},
                        loadMask:{hideOnReady :false, msg:'Loading Site...'},
                        autoScroll : true,
                        autoShow:true,
                        defaultSrc: 'http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client'
                    }
                ]
            });
    The Iframe is created just fine. It's just that once the panel is activated the iframe is not shown. The same config with TabPanel works just great.
    Probably this is specific to the accordion.

    Can you please take a look?

    @ZooKeeper -- You'll have to defeat the hideMode default for MIF when using it an accordian layout.

    Code:
         this.gadgets = new Ext.Panel({
                renderTo: 'gadgets',
                animate: true,
                width: 300,
                height: 500,
                layout:'accordion',
                items: [
                    new Panel({
                        html: '2323'
                    }),{
                        id: 'gtalk',
                        title: 'Google Talk',
                        xtype: 'iframepanel',
                        hideMode: 'display',    //force it
                        frameConfig : {autoCreate:{id:'gtalkFrame'}},
                        loadMask:{hideOnReady :false, msg:'Loading Site...'},
                        autoScroll : true,  // ignored
                        autoShow:true,  // huh?
                        defaultSrc: 'http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client'
                    }
                ]
            });
    But, one thing you will notice (with all the animation effects going on in the Accordian layout) is that the frame re-initializes when collapsed on most browsers (except IE).
    I would not recommend placing frames in an Accordian where session state is important.

    doug,

    is there an easy way to make the Iframe read only so for foreign domain pages I can stop people clicking the links on the page, I thought about injecting some JS code but that made the page error etc, I want a layer on top of the page which allows users to scroll and read but not click.

    Thanks and thankyou again for one of the most amazing extensions I have ever had the pleasure in playing with.

    Cheers

    @stumpy_uk -- Sorry to leave you hanging there.

    Whenever you want, you can activate the shimming agent (Transparent IMG is the default) available on MIFPanel:

    to turn it on:
    MIFP.shim.addClass(MIFP.shimCls+'-on');

    to remove it:
    MIFP.shim.removeClass(MIFP.shimCls+'-on');

    you can even define your own shimUrl (for the IMG tag) in the MIFP config to place any image you want over the frame.

    Code:
    {
     xtype: 'iframepanel',
     shimUrl : 'assets/transparent_hold.png';
     ....
     }
