    Default Form Panel button to be right aligned

    Form Panel button to be right aligned

    Hi,

    I have a simple form panel with some text fields and a button to save. Can we make the Save button to be aligned to right or left as desired using a property. I tried '->' / align: right, but hasn't worked.

    Snipet of the source: (Syntax i made sure its correct. This source may not be complete because i just copied only the required fileds.)

    var userInfoForm = new Ext.FormPanel({
    name: 'userInfoForm',
    id: 'userInfoForm',
    labelAlign: 'top',
    frame:true,
    title: 'User Information',
    url: '/user/update',
    bodyStyle:'padding:5px 5px 0',
    ctCls: 'label_ext',
    width: 500,
    layout: 'form',

    items: [
    {
    xtype:'textfield',
    name: 'id',
    id: 'id',
    anchor:'95%'
    },
    buttons: [
    {
    text: 'Save',
    formBind: true,
    align: right, or '->' ,
    handler: function() {
    userInfoForm.getForm().submit({
    method: 'POST',
    waitTitle: 'Updating User Information...',
    waitMsg: 'Updating User Information. Please Wait...',

    success: function() {
    Ext.Msg.alert('Status', 'User Information Updated Successfully', function(btn, text) {
    if (btn == 'ok') {
    }
    });
    },

    failure: function(form, action)
    {
    Ext.Msg.alert('Warning!', 'Authentication server is unreachable : ' + action.response.responseText);

    }
    });
    }
    }
    ]
    });

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Yes. I will check the doc before posting. Actually i was looking at the button properties and not the form panel properties.

    If i have two or 3 buttons in the form and one of them to be left aligned and other to be right aligned, how can we handle at button property level?

    Sorry if its available at doc. I am a newbie, please help.

    Thanks.

    This question was asked just two days ago with several responses and suggestions. Do a search.

    @madhans: Um... um... see... um... You're posting in the form for ExtJS 2.x about three and a half years after this thread died, and I think you're referring to javascript as java html. These are not great signs!

    But let's assume none of that was a mistake -- If you want to learn ExtJS 2.x and you know javascript fairly well, Packt Publishing's Learning Ext JS published in 2008 (make sure you get the 2008 version) is a pretty good place to start. It covers 2.2, so if you're stuck on a project with an older version of Ext that you can't change for whatever reason, it's money. Not the most thorough coverage (it's more goal-specific than a framework compendium, if that makes sense), but a great resource for 2.x, which is exactly what I needed. You can also download the version of Ext you're using with API docs, which are key, from here.

    If you want to learn the current version, well, head over to the API, demos and the standard forums and give it another shot.

    (Figured I'd post here in case someone else was considering PMing him this info.)
