Ext + Java + Spring + DWR

Does this approach work with ext 3 ?

I'm new to Ext Js. I know very little about Ext Js & DWT. I have tried so much time to deploy the java-ext.zip to Tomcat but everytime failed. Only a blank page with a blue frame shown. Anyone can help? Thank you very much!

I built and installed on Tomcat and had some minor bumps.
others may have the same so I will post.

commons-logging-1.1-1.jar was not in the library so I was tossed to message.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/apache/commons/logging/LogFactory
seems fummny no one else has had this issue.

found and installed.
IE, burped others have had the issue, it's the trailing comma IE hates that more then my 7th grade English teacher, removed in grid.js in the columnModel now it works.

I did as michaelc said, remove the "," in the grid.js and the problem above solved. Thanks michaelc's "Minor items".

I tried to adapt the example to version 3. But it doesn't work. I'm not familier with the ext js. Hope others can help.

I found this line in this 'js' file:

It seems that '!==' should be '!='. But so far after deploying the war in tomcat, I haven't got any error yet.

Hi,

I have created a little demo to show how to integrate Ext with Java/Spring/DWR. I took the DWR Proxy/Reader that has been posted in the forums and modified it a bit. For example I have a boolean flag that can be passed when you construct a DWR Proxy. This will allow you to indicate if you want to support paging and remote sorting. In case you do your service methods that you expose via spring/dwr will need three additional parameters. But if you don't want to support paging and remote sorting you can leave those parameters out.

The DWR Reader also supports nested properties. For example if you are returning a customer object that has an address object within it.

Here is the url java-ext.zip.

The download is a about 3.5mb but includes everything you need: ext 1.0, dwr, spring, sample code. An ant build file is also included but you may need to modify the build.properties file for your environment.

oh, I can't able to make it running. and I download lots of code from internet for DWRProxy, but none of them can be run correctly. I found when I execute "store.load()" , all DWRProxy's load method never be called at all. what's the reason?
Would you like give me a correct example about DWRProxy ?
