Default FF text selection weirdness (inside forms?)

FF text selection weirdness (inside forms?)

i'm not sure if this is only happening with forms but thats where i notice it all the time.

    for example at http://extjs.com/deploy/ext/examples/form/dynamic.html

scroll to the form "Multi-column, nesting and fieldsets", there is a textfield labeled "address" with the sample text "4 Redbulls Drive"

then single click on address then move the mouse over the text in the textarea...

the text gets selected as if the mouse button was held down.

    (only happens with FF!)

also happens when you click any of the field labels and then mouse over the field contents. verified in FF2.0.0.3

    [edit]
the above observation also holds for the Fieldsets, labels right and complex fields example. click on the label "State", then mouseover the default "Select a state..." emptyText.

similar strange behaviour in the Simple Form.
    1. fill any field
    2. click on its label
    3. click in the field on whose label you just clicked on (in step 2)
    4. observe a momentary highlighting of the portion of text (if any) preceding the cursor position

I have seen it as well. It looks like something is triggering a bug in FF. There is nothing we are doing with text selection though in the field, so I have no clue what is going on. The only thing I can think of is the 'unselectable' style (-moz-user-select:none) on one element maybe causes other elements to do auto selecting?
