Default sessions: from php to extjs & php

sessions: from php to extjs & php

    hello,

i have an php application handling user authentication:
    • user visits site
    • browser gets cookie, session id is stored in db
    • when user logs in, user id is stored in the db session table too
    • at each http request it is checked for a valid session
    • user logs out: session data and cookie are deleted
now i want to use extjs - but...

when i.e. using those fancy menus i don't have http requests anymore. so how can i adapt my session handling to extjs?
    • user visits site
    • browser gets cookie, session id is stored in db
    • when user logs in, user id is stored in the db session table too
    • how can i check one every click if the session is still valid?
      • do i just have to define a datastore with jasonreader which gets true or false for the session? but can i pass the user id to check?
      • is there a way that a function validsession is automatically called before each user interaction?
      • what about the cookies? can i set/delete them with extjs even if there's no http request made?
as i'm very new to extjs any hints with code samples are very appreciated.

    thanks a lot,
    michael
