    Default Using GXT components inside Grid expander

    Using GXT components inside Grid expander

    Hello,

    I have a Grid with an expander and would like to use GXT Components inside the expander part instead of being force to do plan html & javascript.
    Is that possible ? and if it is how would I go about it ?

    I currently do something like the sample below and it works, but the javascript I have to do is more complex than the sample and I would really like to stay in the GXT/GWT comfort zone :-)

    Regards
    Nino

    Code:
            String html = getExpanderTemplate();
            XTemplate tpl = XTemplate.create(html);
            RowExpander expander = new RowExpander();
            expander.setTemplate(tpl);

    ...

        private native String getExpanderTemplate() /*-{
            var html = [
                '<tpl for=".">',
                '<div class="x-panel-noborder x-panel x-border" style="border-width: 1px; margin: 4px;">',
                '<div class="x-panel-body x-panel-body-noheader x-panel-body-noborder">',
                '<table width="1" border="0" class="textNormal">',
                '<tpl if="typeof message != \'undefined\'"><tpl if="message != null && message!=\'\'"><tr><td>message</td><td>{message}</td></tr></tpl></tpl>',
                '<tpl if="typeof correlationId != \'undefined\'"><tpl if="correlationId != null && correlationId!=\'\'"><tr><td>correlationId</td><td>{correlationId}</td><tr/></tpl></tpl>',
                '</table></div></div>',
                '</tpl>'
            ];
            return html.join("");
        }-*/;

    what about precalculate the needed info into additional model fields? (eg. myModel.set("name",myObjectOrSomeString) )
    and then use this precalculated things in the template?
    This forum needs your help: you got hints from the community and now you have fixed your code? dont just reply with "now its fixed" or "i found the error"! please take the time to post also an detailed answer with the working code.
