    Default UTF-8 files

    UTF-8 files

Giving JS Builder an utf-8 file (with BOM header EF,BB,BF) shows "illegal character", "Syntax error"
Some of the locale/ files have this encoding and mine almost always have.

Are you using the JSB GUI or the Java builder?

I'm using the Java builder to build my own framework on top of Ext JS.
