I am moving from SmartGWT, and in that framwork, you can add controls to the end of a TabStrip.
I know it can be done with just plain extjs, but what about Ext-GWT?
I have a UI design where it would be helpful to have such a control.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure anyone would know about that stuff here. This forum is concerned about Ext-GWT.
I actaully ment Ext GWT, I started with GWT-Ext and I've mixed the 2 up

I've corrected the original post.
Sure you can do it. Simple extend TapPanel or write a plugin for tabpanel that is doing what you are looking for.
Is there any documentation on how to build plugins?

I've looked, but the docs seem scarce.
there is only a blogpost about creating a component ...

maybe you can look into the gxt zipfile and search for plugin in all *.java files ... then you get some hints about the plugins.
This forum needs your help: you got hints from the community and now you have fixed your code? dont just reply with "now its fixed" or "i found the error"! please take the time to post also an detailed answer with the working code.
