Cool Example of JSON data to load into a TreeStore

Example of JSON data to load into a TreeStore

I can't seem to find any example of how json data should be formatted to be fed into a TreeStore. Plenty of examples for xml data, but not json. Please help!

I added a jsontreepanel example. However the only change i did was to change the xmlreader to a jsonreader and i changed the returned format from xml to json.

This example will be part of the next release

Thanx for your prompt reply. Could you post the source code (together with the json document containing the tree data) as a reply to this thread. I can't access the svn repo for gwt and I can't wait for the next release to come out.

In particular, how do you express "type.setRecordName("item");" when using json instead of xml? ExtJS specify standard properties to construct a tree from json, "leaf" (boolean) and "children" (list of node items). It would be great to have a JsonTreeReader taking into account these properties as defaults to construct the tree. It seems such a common use case that a read-to-go implementation seems it could be very useful.

What I mean to do is to load a remote json file into a tree panel where the json file contains the entire tree, i.e., not an async tree.

    Cheers,

    Dado

    thanks and greets

Could Please post your code here as soon as possible? I am struggling to get the Json data from asp.net mvc controller to the treepanel. Infact the dataurl mentioned in the TreeLoader is not at all firing. Any ideas?
