    Default [FIXED-831] MessageBox width in IE

    [FIXED-831] MessageBox width in IE

    Ext version tested:
    • Ext 3.2

    Adapter used:
    • prototype

    css used:
    • only default ext-all.css

    Browser versions tested against:
    • IE7
    • FF3

    Operating System:
    • WinXP Pro

    Description:
    • When creating a MessageBox in IE the text is wrapped with one or two words of the first line moved to the second, irrespective of how long the text is. In Firefox, it appears to work correctly. This does not really appear to be an issue until one tries to add multiple lines or formatting, at which point it becomes painfully obvious. It is very slowly driving me insane.

    Test Case:

    Code:
    Ext.onReady(function(){

         btn1 = new Ext.Button({
              text:'Click Me',
              handler:function(){
                   Ext.Msg.show({
                        title:'Error',
                        msg: 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Duis aliquet sapien quis ligula convallis ultricies',
                        buttons: Ext.Msg.OK,
                        icon: Ext.MessageBox.ERROR
                   });
              }
         });

         btn2 = new Ext.Button({
              text:'Click Me',
              handler:function(){
                   Ext.Msg.show({
                        title:'Error',
                        msg: 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Duis aliquet sapien quis ligula',
                        buttons: Ext.Msg.OK,
                        icon: Ext.MessageBox.ERROR
                   });
              }
         });

         btn3 = new Ext.Button({
              text:'Click Me',
              handler:function(){
                   Ext.Msg.show({
                        title:'Error',
                        msg: 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Duis aliquet',
                        buttons: Ext.Msg.OK,
                        icon: Ext.MessageBox.ERROR
                   });
              }
         });

         btn4 = new Ext.Button({
              text:'Click Me',
              handler:function(){
                   Ext.Msg.show({
                        title:'Error',
                        msg: 'Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.',
                        buttons: Ext.Msg.OK,
                        icon: Ext.MessageBox.ERROR
                   });
              }
         });

         var mainWindow = new Ext.Viewport({
            layout:'form',
            items:[
                   btn1,
                   btn2,
                   btn3,
                   btn4
            ]
         });

         mainWindow.doLayout();

    });

    Interestingly, I found that if I end the "msg" string variable with a space IE will render the box correctly. Not a fix but it will do for now.
