This is the minimum to get a main AIRwindow openning with an Ext component in it (a simple panel, in this case).

This example assumes you are basically familiar with Adobe AIR and ExtJS.

(Stopped here because maybe the wiki isnt the best place for this)

In order to use ExtJS with Adobe Air a javascript file called an adpater is required. The official adapter is downloadable here: [http://www.sencha.com/products/js/download.php] - Ext.Air Pack. The download also contains some sample applications. Note that the Simple Tasks sample application needs some tweaking to get it to work with Ext 3.2.1. However, there doesnt seem to be any ongoing development of the official Air Adapter and at this stage there is no known roadmap.

Fortunately, a user called Makana has developed an adapter that works with the current public release version of ExtJS (3.2.1 at the time of writing). See the forum post here [http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?91695-Modified-ext-air-adapter-(improved-SQLiteStore-default-Templates-and-more)] for the download and discussion.

I found myself a little confused migrating from the official Ext Adapter to this one so I decided to add this page to provide some examples to get people started with Makana's adapter. Note that this says more about my skill than the adapter!

I hope others will add further examples.
