View Full Version : Example touch events: tap, tapstart, tapmove, doubletab, drag and pinch

24 Jun 2010, 4:06 PM
I wrote a example application which make use of the following touch events:

and pinch

Following actions you can do on the Playground tab off the app:

tap once: to create a new box
touch the box and move you finger to bottom right of the window to resize the box
double tap: activate dragging
next double tap: deactivate dragging
pinch: make a fast pinch with to fingers to destroy the box

The boxes display the current position (x,y), size (w,h) and draggable status.

Hope this example application helps to show how you can use and handle touch events.

Nice work. The only problem I found is the bottom bar. it doesn't appear on my Android device. Because of that, I can't play on the "Playground"

Thank you,
In the bottom are tabs of the tabpanel. I tested it on iPhone, iPad and one android phone. Did you have test the sencha touch examples and has the them problem with tab panels?

The Touch examples works fine. And i don't know if you change something, but now it's the bottom tabbar is working.
- Single tap works.
- Resize works.

Now I'm having problems with double tap.
- Double tap over the numbers, sometimes, opens my "Dial App". (this is really anoying and happens only with Sencha Touch)
- Double tap on the rest of square, sometimes change the draggable value, sometimes delete the square.
- Pinch doesn't work.

My device is a Motorola Milestone (Droid) with Android 2.1

Is your android phone 2.2 version? I know there are lot of changes on browser engine.

It's a old example but it's just that I would have that type of example for ST2 but I haven't find it...

(In fact, I would have an example of how to place and move a image in a panel with a finger...)
