Hi there! I was wondering if it was possible using GWT or GXT to select and upload several files at a time, GMail style.

Yes, I have seen the GWT upload (http://code.google.com/p/gwtupload/), but that's not what I am looking for here : each time you upload a file with GWT Upload multiple upload, it adds a new single-file field. I am hoping to get only one field, but be able to select several files in the Browse window (try it yith your GMail account, it does work).

I googled a little, and the only lead I have is this: http://code.google.com/p/gwtswfext/ The multiple instance demo (http://demo.swfupload.org/v220/multiinstancedemo/index.php) matches my needs. Anybody knows a GXT built-in solution? (no need designing a wheel, right?)

For selecting multiple files, flash is needed. There is no other way to do it.
This is a limitation of the browsers.

It's in the html5 spec (http://dev.w3.org/html5/spec/common-input-element-attributes.html#attr-input-multiple); simply

<input type="file" multiple>

It is supported in the latest Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.
