Hi,

I am trying to get a window to appear using the el.FadeIn effect. But when a show the window and then call FadeIn, the window flashes quickly, disappears, and then fades in. How can I make a window fade in more smoothly?

Thanks,

public class FadeWindow extends Window {

private final FxConfig _fadeConfig = new FxConfig(1000);

@Override
protected void afterShow() {
super.afterShow();
if(getShadow())
layer.getShadow().fadeIn(_fadeConfig);
el().fadeIn(_fadeConfig);
}

}

Works great in WebKit, Firefox, and Opera. It's a little screwy in IE (and completely messed up if the window has a shadow)

I'm also having issues with this but that override isn't particularly nice, especially considering the browser restrictions. Anyone come up with something better?

Failing that, is anyone using Ext with jQuery and has used the two of them together to come up with a smooth operation that works on the major browers including IE?
