I finished this application a little while ago but then got a little busy and just returned from vacation. I wanted to share this application with everyone even though it has its flaws. This was a mobile version of a conference schedule that i built for CFUnited 2010.

You can find the source code on github using the link below. There are still a couple issues with the code that I hope to refactor soon. I guess until I do though its still nice to have the code out there for others to look at. Any suggestions, feedback, code fixes and comments are always welcome.

Great! I try to make it run on my local apache but the app is frozen while starting "loading..."; I am not an experienced programmer with web/ria/mobile and json so could you help me to move forward? I suspect the app wants to access a database? a web service? do you now a simple mean to store data into a local flat files rather a distant access? thanks very much : your app is exactly what I need for the conference Agile Grenoble 2010 (France) I organize in next november with a couple of friends.

Anyone know if there are plans to have something like this for Sencha Conf?

hi,
nice app, pretty clear code.
do you know why the schedule-list gets cut off while the speakers-list is showed correctly?
got the same problem in one of my apps.

How do you get the loading spinner to come up? I could not find this in the API or examples. Thanks!

Hi Dan,

thank you very much for sharing this code with us. I'm trying to learn from it, as there are no other docs on getting started with Sencha Touch that I know of.

One question though: is code up on http://mobile.cfunited.com/2010/ exactly the same revision that one up on GitHub? I've ported your CF script to PHP to make AjaxProxy calls work, and had to make some other small adjustments to js to make it work on my local server.

Hi nnc,

Would you mind sharing the code you modified when adjusting CF to PHP? Thanks!

Since a couple of people pm-ed me about the PHP version already, here's how you can get it working on your server.

Its really simple, but is limited to GET requests only, and make sure you specify any GET params as part of your URL, like this "http://test.com/api.php?param1=value1&param2=value2". Also, you need to make sure you have "allow_url_fopen = 1" in your php.ini See http://www.php.net/manual/en/filesystem.configuration.php#ini.allow-url-fopen

Here is the PHP code you need to save to AjaxProxy.php (or some other file name)

<?php
header('Content-type: application/javascript');
echo $_GET['callback'] . '(' . file_get_contents($_GET['targeturl']) . ')';
?>

That is all you need.
