Hi guys,

In the tutorial section, it specifies in the example html file that...

<!-- Do NOT put any DOCTYPE here unless you want problems in IEs. -->

...and elsewhere in the tutorial section I saw...

The first two lines specify the document type. The application could run
without a doctype, however, in this case the browser would probably go
into Quirks Mode (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quirks_mode) which would detract from the cross-browser compatibility of your application.

Which is best, DOCTYPE or no DOCTYPE?

Thanks for your help!
Keith

Touch doesn't run on anything but WebKit.

IE is not HTML5 compliant, thus sencha touch doesn't work on it.

Thanks guys, but not sure what "Touch" is... I'm refering to Ext JS which I've just started learning by building basic web apps.

You posted in the wrong forum, then.

Moving to Ext JS help.
