I need to show a piece of message, like "Dear user, you logged in as a administrator". Not as a alert box, it should stick as a message at the top of the page, or after the logo.

Thanks

So you are lookimg to Inject some HTML? That can be done with generic JavaScript. The ExtJS API has a lot of dom management utils to make that much easier. Have you tried looking at the API doc?

say yoy have a container x
Inside the items config of x you shud have an item which says

items:[
{
html:'whatever html you want to put in'
},
{}....
]

I think you're still being too vague.

I think the OP is here at random, and not an ExtJS developer.
