View Full Version : TreePanel Performance Drop (String based ID's)

Noticed something a little unusual tonight. I've been using integers for ID's historically on TreePanel nodes and leafs, however tonight I altered the ID's to strings to allow better separation and avoid duplicate ID's on the Tree.

e.g.
Original - id: 123,

New - id: 'foobar123',

However the new method (string based) has a noticeable performance drop on Tree load/reload compared to integer based ID's.

First question: is that performance drop normal / been observed before?
Second question: Is there a better way to ID my tree nodes and leafs without incurring a performance drop?

Thanks
