after initially setting a configuration for a component (either via new or xtype) is there a standard way of dynamically changing its configuration later? For example, if I have a combobox xtype initially configured to hide trigger (via hideTrigger) then show it later after obtaining a result (from a store.load)

thank you.

There are many ways of manipulating Components. Most of them documented in the API docs.

In this case the docs are not up to date!

myCombo.setHideTrigger(true/false)

thanks. i've tried using the setHideTrigger before I posted my question but it messes the width of the comboBox which prompted me to ask the question.
re: my question in general i was thinking more along a method where you pass the component and it's new configuration within {}?

I tried it before posting and it did not do that. It just hid/showed the trigger.
