View Full Version : A modal-dialog multiple-choice class of sorts

I am mostly looking for a starting point to my problem:

My webapp requires on various occasions a modal dialog (background dimmed, "lightbox style", pick or cancel),
to configure things. Where the user gets a small (2,3 up to 8) choices. Choices may consist out of several lines of text, and might have exactly 1 image (<img align="left"... will do) . Or more simply said:Every choice is a "div-blob"...

I would like:
* rounded boxes as outermost, and the inside options
* it's definetly multi-line content, so extJS-ish buttons will visually break
* no need for a closing button. Not too much need for outside "window decoration" anyway, at most a simple box
* I know my width and will specify it. For vertical there should be a scrollbar, if needed
* rolling-over (hover) should highlight the entire round box (much like veeery big buttons, a bit gaming console style...)
* eye-candy but a shadow below the whole thing...
* of course I want a callback, with the id of the option chosen

What should be my starting point?
Extending a Panel or Dialog or some other lower-level... ?
How much and what could I re-use for the inner classes? Or is the whole thing already existing?

Thank you for helping :-)

Hmm, my first finding, the bubble panel demo (http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/examples/panel/bubble-panel.html)
should be a good starting for the look. Still plenty of work to go... :)
