I need to show a progress bar for an application I'm building for file uploads. Can anybody point me the right direction?

Thanks

Go to

http://extjs.com/deploy/ext/docs/

on the left navigate to Examples and Demos---> dialogs ---> "MessageBox and progress"

or go here
http://extjs.com/deploy/ext/examples/dialog/msg-box.html

click on "Progress Dialog" button...

The progress dialog in 1.1 has the progress bar built into the dialog, and is probably not what you want. If you search, there are discussions about standalone ProgressBar components for 1.1 and 2.0.

Thanks for your replies. I should have been more specific with what I wanted. I want to show a progress bar for a file upload. I.E you have uploaded 1MB of 10MB with a percentage and estimated time. Do I have to write a servlet in Domino to send information back to the page with what has been uploaded so far? Anybody who could point me in the right direction?

Thanks

A progress bar on uploads...

You know, I've never really seen this done without using Flash or a Java applet... are you sure you want to tackle it? ;)

Is your application going to be used primarily on an intranet? If so, file upload notification might not be an issue.

I'm sure someone has done this before in JavaScript, but in my opinion, the amount of xmlhttp "polling" that would need to be going on would make it not worth my time.
