View Full Version : MultiSelect Quicktip on item hover...Possible?

I was wondering if anyone had ever used the MultiSelect extension, and found a way to implement a listener when a specific item in the MultiSelect list was hovered over?

I have a MultiSelect that works like a dream, but I would like to provide users with some additional information via a QuickTip contained within the store when they hover over any of the selections in the select list.

I can get things to happen by attaching a mouseover event to the object itself, but what I need to do is provide selection specific information. I've played for many hours with using Ext.DomObserver but never made any headway.

Here is my object as it stands...I guess I can change my UI to use a gridview if necessary, but I'd love to still use the MultiSelect which serves my needs perfectly save this issue:

var deviceSelect = new Ext.ux.form.MultiSelect({
name: 'deviceSelect',
id: 'deviceSelect',
fieldLabel: 'Device Targets<br />',
width: 300,
height: 200,
allowBlank:true,
store: deviceStore,
displayField: 'name',
mode: 'remote',
triggerAction: 'all',
tbar:[{
text: 'Clear Selected',
handler: function(){
jobStartFormPanel.getForm().findField('deviceSelect').reset();
}
}],
ddReorder: true

});

Any pointers or leads would be greatly appreciated!
