Recently We have a new website project, the main functions is displaying report forms and workflow UI, the backend is the ASP.Net MVC.

I found the extjs is fancy to implement the UI layer, so we want use it to implement most of the web pages. But we are consern about the performance of overusing the ExtJs, some developer told me, the performance would be very bad. but I want some advise from U who have experience on Extjs.

Thanks.

If you do it right, you will find performance quite acceptable.

if you dive in blindly, it is possible to clog the browser up and make it perform badly.

If it's a new project, start in the right way. A single page application which uses ExtJS Components as the application components.

No HTML will be sent at all. The index page is

<body></body>

And your UI is completely described by ExtJS.
