I'm pretty new to HTML5. Is it possible to start/stop the animation via javascript?

As it stands now, I have an animation running in an iFrame, and I swap out the animation for a different/static version. Or alternatively I can show/hide layers to give the appearance of direct control over the animation. But is there a way to reference/control the animation directly via javascript/DOM?

You can start the animation via the built in "Link" action - that can be attached to any object. This adds a play ability. Stopping the animation during an Animation is possible via hand-rolled javascript - it's not built into this release of Animator.

The purpose of the two initials of your start / stop and control of other materials as may be resolved with a javascript slideshow. A slide show javascript can call a table of image files and provide links button control you want. You can find readymade javascripts slide shows and other things on sites like DynamicDrive.
