Hi All,

I did my first flirting with Sencha Touch and put together a lightweight chat application. I wrote an article about it that can be found at the following URL: http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/ibmi/enewsletterexclusive/35121p1.aspx

Or if you want to see the application it can be found at www.ChattyGabby.com (http://chattygabby.com) (note you need an HTML5 capable browser like Chrome or Safari, or bring it up on your Android or iPhone). I have more plans for this chat app so stay tuned! :-)

I do all of my server-side development on a machine called an "IBM i" using a language called RPG. The language and DB2 database are integrated into the operating system which makes for some excellent efficiencies in programming (i.e. I never has to worry about things like DB connection pools). If you want to check out IBM i, you can do so for free with IBM's Virtual Loaner Program which I wrote about here: http://www.ibmsystemsmag.com/ibmi/virtual_loaner_program/33432p1.aspx

All of the SenchaTouch resources should be available from by viewing the browser source. I am very open to any input/critiques of the code.

Thanks to all on this forum who have helped me with my questions - hopefully I can give back as much as I have taken.
