I have to set document.domain to a specific value in order to implement some comet.

All Iframes on the page go rogue after that, since they expect document.domain to be explicitly set now.
And that's what breaks Ext form file uploading.

I'm sure some else had to have this issue and as far as I can tell there's no way to set the param when creating an Iframe.

Would really appreciate any feedback

I've made a bug report about this, which also includes the workaround I currently use. Basically the trick is for uploads to send an extra parameter with the page's domain, and then in the response body add an extra script tag in the header to set the document's domain.

According to this reference
http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?136092-Response-lost-from-upload-Ajax-request-to-iframe-if-document.domain-changed,

we can only update the sub-domain. it does not work for complety different domain.
