is there documentation on how to change the style (colors/fonts etc) on the grid...
I can't seem to find ANYTHING in the docs on this and I have a hard time thinking EVERYONE uses the 'blue'
for these EXT elements... plz forgive a novice Q: I'm new to this.

Well, there's lots of ways... I would suggest you look into Ext Themes, though, as that seems to be what you're really trying to get at, since it styles all the components, not just one. However, you could use the css/baseCss configs and set your own. You _could_ edit ext's ext-all.css stylesheet if you were really convinced that was the way to go, but that's a horrible solution and promotes bugs and screw ups when you upgrade to a different Ext version.

In more recent Ext versions, ext-all.css has been split into 2 files: ext-all-notheme.css and xtheme-blue.css (and there are also 2 other themes xtheme-gray.css and xtheme-access.css available).

If you want to make your own theme, I would recommend to make a copy of xtheme-blue.css and start making modifications.
