It looks like there is a documentation bug in ver 3.3.1 for the HttpProxy class.
The example code for using the api configuration shows using "load" while the class only seems to process "read".
I am new to ExtJS and JS in general, so this was very confusing.

If I am mistaken, please let me know otherwise.
Thanks
Andrew

Documentation excerpt:

The url is built based upon the action being executed [load|create|save|destroy] using the commensurate api (http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/docs/output/Ext.data.DataProxy.html#Ext.data.DataProxy-api) property, or if undefined default to the configured Ext.data.Store (http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/docs/output/Ext.data.Store.html).url (http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/dev/docs/output/Ext.data.Store.html#Ext.data.Store-url).
For example:

api: {
load : '/controller/load',
create : '/controller/new', // Server MUST return idProperty of new record
save : '/controller/update',
destroy : '/controller/destroy_action'
}

// Alternatively, one can use the object-form to specify each API-action
api: {
load: {url: 'read.php', method: 'GET'},
create: 'create.php',
destroy: 'destroy.php',
save: 'update.php'
}
