View Full Version : Ext.ux.PanelAction

Hi Guys

Thought I would share this little plugin that was used in our Contest entry in the hope that it might be of use to someone else.

Basically it allows you to quickly add an action icon to a floating panel which will then perform a specified action when tapped. We used it as a tidy and elegant way to close floating info/form panels in response to this bug with select fields (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?113483-OPEN-461-Select-field-closing-floating-formpanel&goto=newpost).

If you check out the blog post it explains all the config options and has a demo of it working.

Blog Post with demos and documentation (http://www.swarmonline.com/2011/01/ext-ux-panelaction-add-action-buttons-to-floating-sencha-touch-panels/)

Simple Demo (http://www.swarmonline.com/2011/01/ext-ux-panelaction-demo/)

Basic Usage

//panel config
plugins: [new Ext.ux.PanelAction({
iconClass: 'x-panel-action-icon-tick',
iconPressedClass: '',
position: 'br',
actionMethod: ['hide']

Give me a shout if you have any questions about it.

Hi -

Just used your extension in our project and it worked out very well. We ran into the same bug with floating form panels, and this was an elegant solution that we would have wanted anyway.

Thanks very much - ATM
