Anchor Tag to an Item in a Carousel?

Just starting to learn Sencha 2day(!!), so plz forgive me if this is a simple question:

Within the HTML string of a Panel, how do I switch to an item view within a Carousel using the <a onClick=""> tag? I have several links in each items' HTML string that I want to "link to" another item; Simular to Fragment identifiers in a long web page. ie: <A href="#section2"> where my section#2 is located in another panel/view of the Carousel.

Any guidance and/some code/js would be helpful to get me on the right track.
