View Full Version : Carousel judders on first rendering

I've written a catalogue app where the user can flip through a number of carousel panels. Unfortunately, on certain platforms the app suffers from a noticeable "judder" when a panel is wiped-in / displayed for the first time. Once every panel has been painted, wiping works like a charm.

I guess this is related to the delayed rendering implemented by Sencha Touch. However, I would prefer a longer startup time for the application and have all the initialization / rendering / panting or whatsoever done before the user starts using the catalogue. Can this be configured somehow? Is there an API method I could call during the carousel setup?

Thanks in advance for any clues

Carsten

This did not solve the issue, thanks anyway.

Actually, this fix doesn't work if I use scroll:'vertical' on each panel of my carousel. Without it, for me, it works. Good luck though.

I just upgraded to the latest Chrome beta. As opposed to the current production release, it showed the bug described in and fixed by http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread...(with-solution) (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?122682-OPEN-748-Flickering-when-scrolling-Ext.Carousel-%28with-solution).
