View Full Version : Ext.Error

I have traced some behavior problems I am having back to a read response. One thing I noticed while troubleshooting this is there is some code in the debug version that appears to be intended to throw errors. In the JsonReader, there is this specific block of code:

if (action === Ext.data.Api.actions.create) {
var def = Ext.isDefined(root);
if (def && Ext.isEmpty(root)) {
throw new Ext.data.JsonReader.Error('root-empty', this.meta.root);
else if (!def) {
throw new Ext.data.JsonReader.Error('root-undefined-response', this.meta.root);

I am curious what behavior I should expect from these statements? Should I at least see them in the logs?

These are thrown exceptions, so yes, you should see them in your log.

Thanks. I have run into a couple of these lately where I would have expected to see an error in the logs, but did not get anything until I placed my own console.log statement

New to Ext, so should I file a bug?
