Have you seen the examples directory of the sencha touch zip file you downloaded?

Sencha Touch is best suited for Mobile Web applications, not sites. If you plan on using Sencha Touch, you're going to have to learn to think in terms of Application and not "Site".

Let me see if I understand.

Sencha Touch can be used for Android, IOS, etc, basically for mobile apps.

Sencha can be used for websites?? but only for certain browsers, or most browsers?

Sencha for desktop apps just supports a few browsers like Chrome and Safari??

Is that correct as of now?

@asawyer13:

Your on the sencha forum, so just have a look at the sencha website which states:

Ext JS supports all major web browsers including:

Internet Explorer 6+
Firefox 3.6+ (PC, Mac)
Safari 3+
Chrome 6+
Opera 10.5+ (PC, Mac)

and for Sencha Touch it states:

Sencha Touch is a cross-platform framework aimed at next generation, touch enabled, devices. It's currently compatible with Apple iOS 3+, Android 2.1+, and BlackBerry 6+ devices.

Somewhere on this site I could have sworn it said that Desktop apps with Sencha only supported a few browsers.

Thanks for the other information.
