The main Sencha Touch page now says that the framework supports Blackberry OS 6.

"It's currently compatible with Apple iOS, Android, and BlackBerry 6 devices."

Does this mean that 1.1 is incoming?

Was wondering if someone would catch that early ;)

Sweet Thanks!

Are there any plans to support Non-Touch BB OS 6 Devices? (Ex Bold)

No plans for <BB6 yet, as we're targeting WebKit on the new platform.

Well these phones run BB6 WebKit, just they're not touch phones. They render the kitchen sink fine but you cant "click" any of the options or scroll.

It would be nice if Sencha Touch would support clicks on non touch Blackberry 6 devices. There will be a lot of these phones in the enterprise space.

I agree. As far as I know RIM only has 1 Touch-screen BB6 phone (Torch). There's at least 2 other BB6 phones that are not touch screen (Bold,Stlye). I know most of enterprise carries around a Bold.

Has anyone tried to extend the Sencha gesture listener to allow native on click?

I did some hacking and was able to get the clicking to work on non-touch Blackberries. Only tested this on iOS and my BB Bold so YMMV. I'm sure there's a better/neater/more proper fix but this was the easiest for me. Here's to hope that Sencha implements something of that sort.

I'm going to link it to a blog/post I started/wrote after I figured it out with a bit of background.

Hey,

I have been trying to run an app I have on Blackberry OS 6 Bold, the buttons are not clickable and there is no scrolling of the views. The app is built using sencha touch 2 and not Sencha touch 1, therefore the work-around that you have does not apply.

Could you please help me fix this issue.

The application runs fine on the balckberry Os 7, 9930 simulator.

Will sencha touch 2 work on non-touch devices????

Please help me out......

Thanks a million in advance.......

Regards,
Betsy Robert
