View Full Version : NestedList - how to get details of getActiveItem() ?

I am new to Sencha and I'm stuck. I am building a NestedList where the items look like this:

Ext.regModel('ListItem', {
fields: [{name: 'text', type: 'string'}]
});

I can put them into a Ext.data.TreeStore just fine, and display the NestedList, and it's working nicely.

Now I am trying to programatically get the text of the current active item. (I know it's already on the screen, but I need to get the text programatically for other reasons.)

I have a function which does this:

var activeListItem = myNestedList.getActiveItem();

and that works fine, but I don't know what methods/properties I should use to drill down from the active item to get the text I supplied when creating the NestedList.

Thanks in advance,

Greg Saunders

Hi Greg,

Did you managed to resolve this?
