View Full Version : [DUPE] applyToMarkup doesn't remove or override specified element

I create a Ext.form.Text using this:

Ext.require([ 'Ext.form.*' ]);
Ext.onReady(function() {
var myText = new Ext.form.Text({width:100, value: 'Hello world'});
myText.applyToMarkup('myText');
});
When I use FireBug to check the HTML, I see that: Ext4 doesn't create the component on top of (or override) the input HTML element (like in Ext3). Ext4 just simply hide it and create a lot of div to draw the component next to it. I thought Ext4 should remove the old tag if it create a new one already or we should have a config to do that way!
