This is my first post. Best regards to all forum members.

I'm inspecting ExtJS classes to learn the anatomy of this great framework. In Store.js I found:

record.join(this);

where:
record = Ext.data.Record
this = Ext.data.Store

What is join() doing and where to find the cod of this method ?

Excuse me for my ignorance if my question is stupid , but believe me I've lost a lot of time to find the answer.

The method simply sets which store the record is attached to.

// From Record.js Source

// private
join : function(store){

/**
* The {@link Ext.data.Store} to which this Record belongs.
* @property store
* @type {Ext.data.Store}
*/
this.store = store;
}
