View Full Version : How would you do: AJAX loading then rendering onto a modal Window (or Panel?) box

Hi,

Here's what I'd like to do:
create a component that, when created with a parameter, opens up on a modal way (= on top of everything), downloads a lot of JSON stuff, then creates dynamically the page to be shown into this modal Window.
I'd like to create the window anchored on the browser: a small margin of 50px on each sides.
Then show a message saying "wait, loading" (like ExtJs does when you open the Html documentation), and once the load is finished, analyses the JSON and creates dynamically a lot of stuff (it's a decision to make for a client actually).
Once we click "ok", the concerned tab is re-loaded (but this is another part of the story :(( )

Any idea where I should look to reach my goal?

Thak you very much

Send an Ajax request and on success of this request do what you need...

Ext.Ajax.request({
....
success: function(response) {
var text = Ext.decode(response.responseText);
//stuff
}
});
