Check out the Sencha touch app my team is working on for the Eagles' upcoming NFL draft:
http://draft.philadelphiaeagles.com/mobile/
http://draft.philadelphiaeagles.com/mobile/?debug=1 (non-minified)

We will be releasing Android and iOS builds via PhoneGap.

If anyone has any critiques or suggestions, please share! The list performance is presently pretty weak on my G2 compared to iPhones, and animated card transitions are hopeless.

Are there any ways to estimate device performance during runtime to adapt the app's behavior?

I hate the Eagles, but nice looking app, sweet graphics :)

Question, what are you doing to ensure the background Eagles image loads first, without having to wait for all the the JS to load? I seem to always get stuck with a white back ground while the Touch framework + app files have to load.

Also, what are you doing here:

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/sencha-touch.js+app.js+views/*+models/TwitterProxy.js+models/*"></script>

Is that just the name of your concatenated, minified file or are you building this on the fly somehow?

Thanks, again...looks great!

Thanks Bucs!

I got the background to come up quickly by setting it as the body background in the first line of CSS that gets parsed before any JS:

body {
background: url(../img/backgroundLogo.jpg) no-repeat center center #033;
-webkit-background-size: cover;
}

As for the JS loading, /mobile/js gets handled by a PHP script that pulls all the requested classes out of a versioning system I can edit over WebDAV. It uses jsmin-php (https://github.com/rgrove/jsmin-php/) to minify all the JS together and caches the result in APC until cleared with a ?refresh parameter. Have the same setup for CSS with cssmin (http://code.google.com/p/cssmin/) (v2, cssmin v3 mangled my @font-face declarations)

Looks like you edited your loadUrl line in App.java, it should be pointing at index.html (leave it set like it initially was)
