View Full Version : One page vs many pages

Sorry for this noob question, but I am just starting out with Sencha Touch. I am coming from an ASP.NET background and used to having multiple html/aspx pages in the application. In all the examples included in Sencha Touch, there's only the main Index.html page. When user "navigates" to a different screen, it's really changing the panel in a cardlayout. Even when there are other html pages (About.html, etc), they are loaded externally into a Panel when shown.

My question is, if I am using ASP.NET MVC 3 to build my application, can I still have different pages? Or do I have to follow the single Index.html design? In Index.js, it calls Ext.setup to initialize the app. If I do different pages, will each page have to reinitialize the app with a separate call to Ext.setup?

You can have multiple pages but the problem I will present to you is that each page will have to load the framework and that's overhead, a lot of it.
