Hi folks, I downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit versions for linux but none of them actually work (my laptop runs 64 bit fedora 12). When I fire up SenchaAnimator I get the splash screen telling me to click to continue but nothing comes after that. The same thing happens with both versions actually.

When I run SenchaAnimator through strace I get at the point it hangs:

poll([{fd=3, events=POLLIN}, {fd=7, events=POLLIN}], 2, 24094

and then the last couple of lines repeat after a couple of seconds.

What other info should I send? Did others manage to get it running on linux?

Hi fetchinson,

Do you run SELinux? Have you tried disabling it?

sudo echo 0 > /selinux/enforce

We've tested on Fedora 14 with SELinux disabled. It cannot be enabled because it is an embedded WebKit browser with JIT JS compiling enabled, which required memory pages to be marked executable. SELinux will get upset by that. I think there's a way to make an exception for just the Animator process.

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried disabling selinux and get the exact same problem as before.
It seems my issue is somewhere else..
