View Full Version : Sencha Touch Mobile Xorg stutter and high cpu

14 Jul 2011, 10:16 AM

I have a new thinkpad t420s running ubuntu 11.04 and google chrome 12.0.742.112.

When I open my sencha touch application, or indeed the kitchen sink demo, if I then tab too or from the browser, or switch viewports, then Xorg yanks the cpu up and the display freezes for around 1-2 seconds before switching applications or viewports.

This happens without any action - just load the kitchen sink demo and tab to and from google chrome.

This doesn't happen for any other web application or anything else on this machine - it's entirely flawless.

I'll try to repeat this test on a few different ubuntu O/S's and see if I can gather an example of "it works here".

I realise that this might be an issue in Xorg or google-chrome, but it's worth reporting here so that others can comment if they've got a clearer picture, and so it can be recorded.
