View Full Version : Carousel stops working after clicking video

Hey everybody,

I got a problem using video elements inside a carousel.
If I open my app on the iPhone, then switch to the carousel, play a video and
stop it, the carousel stops working, too. I cannot switch between items anymore.

Taking a look at it with Safari reveals a slightly different problem. I cannot use
the video controls. Trying to click them just moves between carousel items around.

Here is my code:

FWApp.views.FWmotion = Ext.extend(Ext.Carousel, {
fullscreen: true,

items: [
{
xtype: 'video',
autoPause: true,
width: 535,
height: 381,
posterUrl: '/resources/motion/hello.jpg',
url: '/resources/motion/video.mp4',
},
{
xtype: 'video',
autoPause: true,
width: 535,
height: 381,
posterUrl: '/sencha/resources/motion/just.jpg',
url: '/sencha/resources/motion/video2.mp4',
},
],
});

Nothing to fancy. The view gets loaded inside the Viewport, MVC style.
Thanks!

So, I got a step further and thought I let everyone know. ;)

It seems to be a problem, when the video component covers the whole carousel.
Making the width and height smaller, reveals the carousel again. But there is still
a problem.

You can't swipe over a paused video to get to the next/prev carousel item. You can
only press it to resume/play the video. Changing the carousel item only works, if
you swipe below or above the video.

Is there a way to show the div.x-video-ghost and hide the video after stopping it?
