View Full Version : YAHOO.ext.util namespace missing

I'm new to yui-ext but not to yui. I'm copying the relevant bits of the simple layout example in to my code. When I load my code FireFox says it can't find YAHOO.ext.util so it can't add YAHOO.ext.util.browser. I suspect the simple example works because it loads the util stuff off an actual YAHOO URL and maybe some mods were made? Or am I missing something?

I got similar errors when I was working with the border layouts.

What version are you using?

YUI-Ext 0.33 downloaded 12 hours ago :)

The YAHOO.ext.util namespace is created in the first statement in yutil.js and in yui-ext.js (which contains the entire library). When I loaded the library on a server at work, I had to set the file permissions to get the examples to work. Maybe this is your problem?

Check you're including yui-ext.js into your page from the correct URL! Use Firebug.
