A newbie question... I'm trying to build my first extjs4 based web app and I'm using the MyEclipse r9.1 IDE for this purpose.

When I follow the extjs4 install instructions for a web app (i.e. creating a 'extjs' folder and putting the js files i=under it), then an error is being reported inside the 'ext-debug.js' file, namely...

line 8577
window.undefined = window.undefined;

Description Resource Path Location Type

Syntax error on token ".", , expected ext-debug.js /JSTest01/WebContent/extjs line 8577 JavaScript Problem

Any ideas?

Try to right click in 'extjs' folder and select 'Validate'.

There is no right click 'validate' option.

There is a right click 'My Eclipse/Run validation' option. If I select that it throws up the same error.

Description Resource Path Location Type
Syntax error on token ".", , expected Ext-more.js /JSTest01/WebContent/extjs/src/core/src line 243 JavaScript Problem

Hey, Did you fixed the problem finally?
I think it is caused for the version of Eclipse for Windows, but now, I need it in Windows.
Could you help me?

Greetings from Spain.

Hi,

I gave up on this area a few months back. It's interesting but I don't think the IDE's are sufficiently robust enough to make it productive
