View Full Version : Mouse-Over Tooltip on a Chart's CategoryAxis Labels

Hi Brendan.

This is a feature request for capability to set a mouse-over tooltip on the labels of a CategoryAxis that would vary for each label.

For example, when the end-user does a mouse- over on one of the month name labels listed vertically to the left of the Bar Chart in the Ext GWT Explorer Demo PR5, a customizable SafeHtml tooltip could show additional information about the month (like how many days the month has, how many week-ends the month had, etc.).

I mentioned this to you at the conference in Austin, and you indicated that it was a good idea.

The Flex charts I am replacing have this feature, which is why I am following up with you.

Please let me if this feature will be in the upcoming release.

Yes I remember you mentioning it at the conference and have added it as a task. I also plan to add tooltip support for legends as it makes sense to have the same interactivity in series for axis and legend as well.

Hi Brendan.

Thanks for the quick response and accommodating my request.

As you can tell, I am pretty far along in confirming first hand that the GXT 3.0 drawing and charting framework can be used to replace Flex charts.

Sorry, I post the question in a wrong place, what I want to know whether the mouse-over tooltip available on sencha touch charts or not.

I will move my question to touch chart forums.

Thanks a lot for your proactive response.
