I have just started the automation on the ext-JS4 website using the selenium tool.

The challenge I am facing is identifying the static object from the html page because everytime the objects gets changed for the html page.

So what is the static parameter in the html page which can be used for automating any functionality on ext JS4 based webpage.

Guys plz help me out on this I am a newbie to the extJS4 stuff.

Selenium is not an easy tool to use with Ext JS. We're solving this in a day or two by releasing Siesta. You can get a sneak preview here on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS4X9Vh6iww&list=PL2BF1F6425F47E0E1&index=3

@mankz Will Siesta have the bug reporting you built at the hackathon?

That'll be another tool built on top of Siesta. We're definitely doing it ourselves for Bryntum bug reports.

As for Ext bug reports, not sure how that could tie in to the forums etc. But it would definitely rock to have it. Let me know if you think management will want something like that :)

I think anything to help the bug reporting process is welcomed! Even if that is just you pop up a textarea and someone just copy/paste it into the forums is a great step
