View Full Version : 4.0.7 w/ gray-theme css: incorrect bg color for tab-panel on IE8 (only)

25 Nov 2011, 6:33 PM
Ext version tested:

Ext 4.0.7
Browser versions tested against:

IE 8 windows 7/64 (incorrect rendering)
FF 8.0.1 (mac) (renders correctly)
Chrome 15 (mac and windows) (renders correctly
DOCTYPE tested against:

On IE8, when using the gray theme, the tab-panel is not rendered with the proper color. The color appears to be from the "default" theme.
Steps to reproduce the problem:

Use IE8.
This is reproducible on the Ext-JS 4.0.7 demo site. : http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.0.7-gpl/examples/themes/index-gray.html
Scroll down a bit to the "tab panel" example.
The result that was expected:

Expected grey background on IE8 like Chrome/FF (as far as the color is concerned)
The result that occurs instead:

Incorrect color on IE8 -- appears to be blue, possibly from the default theme.
Btw, issue looks a bunch worse when there's only a few tabs on a wider panel -- in the demo site the window is used up by tabs; in my application there's only a few tabs on a wider panel.

Screenshot or Video:

See attached image. The url is the example link above. IE 8 is on the left, and chrome is on the right. OS is win 7/64.
See this URL for live test case: http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.0.7-gpl/examples/themes/index-gray.html
Debugging already done:

Possible fix:

unknown (would be interested in a workaround tho)
Additional CSS used:

n/a - the bug appears on the demo site.
Operating System:

osx lion
Win 7 / 64

It is a verified bug --> http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthread.php?142638-4.0.5-tabpanel-shows-blue-strip-in-header-in-IEJust override the Ext-all-gray.css with the following
.x-nlg .x-tab-bar { background-image: none;}
